Best underwire sports bras

I often hear "What, a sports bra with an underwire!". Yes, indeed, a sports bra can have an underwire. Actually, this is not a new feature. Underwire sports bras provide extra support, lift and separation.

Sports bras can have underwires on the inside where an underwire would traditionally be found in a regular bra. And, sports bras can have underwires on the outside.

This underwire-on-the-outside feature is genius! It provides excellent separation and lift. What’s more, it minimizes the possibility of the underwire poking through, a common complaint about an underwire bra. It’s hard to find and it is expensive, so there are only one or two styles on the market with this feature.

When someone says I want lift and separation, but I don’t want to wear an underwire, I suggest a bra with the underwire on the outside. It’s virtually undetectable.

The downside is the look makes it so that the bra really has to be worn with a top over it. But, unless you like to wear your sports bra as a top, this is not a big deal.
