Sports bras for small breasts
It’s a myth that small breasted women do not need to wear a sports bra. Every body needs support or RVM®(restricted vertical movement) from a sports bra. However, I have found the needs of a smaller breasted woman to be different than the needs of a larger breasted woman.
Smaller breasted women tend to not want squish. They are typically looking for contour and perhaps a little “oomph” to the cup size without looking out of balance and without giving up RVM. If this is you, I suggest the Moving Comfort Alexis Sports Bra or the Champion Shape T-back Sports Bra. I especially like the Champion Shape sports bra for smaller breasted women because it comes in true lingerie sizes rather than size groups. This means if you are a true A cup, you can order an actual A cup rather than having to compromise and get something sized to fit an A/B cup. These types of styles that are sized in true lingerie sizes are getting harder and harder to find for smaller breasted women because they cost manufacturers and retailers more money compared to sports bras designed to fit size groups like small, medium, large and x-large.
I’ve also found smaller breasted women don’t like to “show the headlights” so to speak. Although this is not necessarily a size related issue, a modest front look in a sports bra is becoming more commonplace. I call this NST(no-show through) in the cup. The Alexis and Champion Shape sports bras previously mentioned are the best sports bras for excellent NST in A and B cup sizes on the market.
